"But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God." - John 1:12 NLT
Defined by God
Yes, it’s true. As believers, we are now defined by God—the one who made us, knows us best, and loves us most. This truth is foundational to our walk with Him. Our actions and words flow out of who we are. Being comes before doing.
When God changes our identity and hearts on the inside, it naturally affects what we say and do on the outside.
Remember:
You’re loved.
You are God’s child.
You are a new creation.
You are forgiven of all your sins.
Father, you have loved us, and I praise you for that. You have chosen and adopted us to be your beloved children, and I thank you for that. You have made me a new creation, and I don’t know how to praise you enough for that. You have forgiven me for all my sin. Help me never to stop praising you for that. Open my eyes fully to who I am in you. In the name of Jesus, amen.
