The original Palm Sunday would have transpired in a time of tremendously conflicting emotions, volatile political and societal dynamics matched with the looming possibility of a coming Messiah. There was pressure on people. There was pressure on systems and government. There was pressure on Jesus. Let us look to Jesus who is the Author and Perfecter of our Faith (Hebrews 12:2-3). He is the perfect model for navigating our own constraints and challenges.
It’s not wrong to feel pressure; it’s actually unavoidable in our world at the moment. This atmosphere of pressure may surround us, but it doesn’t have to stop us. Pressure can change us and help us to grow if we are aware of it and know how we can respond to it. We can turn our focus toward Jesus, as our Help in a time of crisis.
Questions:
1. When pressure hits, do you freeze up, freak out, or have a desire to flee from everything?
2. Can you identify one scripture that can help you when the pressure hits?
As for me : Matthew 6:33
“Seek first, the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added onto you.”
Team Wade loves you and is praying for you.❤️👊
