“One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, ‘Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!’ And they left their nets at once and followed him.” - Mark 1:16-18 NLT
Follow Me
Stereotype or not, I’ve known many men who find it difficult to admit they don’t know the way and ask for directions. The Israelites followed a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night—impossible to miss, right? Yet, their pride and fear often got in the way.
Jesus summoned each of His disciples very directly: “Follow me.” It was simple then, and it is simple now. Jesus says the same to godly men today: “Follow me.”
How do you do that? Simply identify the next right thing, do it, and then “repeat the process.”
