Pray Every Morning

“The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught. The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears; I have not been rebellious; I have not turned away.” — Isaiah 50:4–5

In the same way that a king would sit down with his counselors to discuss whether his army of 10,000 could defeat an enemy with 20,000 (see Luke 14:31), shouldn’t we sit down with the Wonderful Counselor to discuss our day, our goals, our problems, our victories—our everything?

May God awaken our ear every morning, just as He did Isaiah’s.

How can we integrate the importance of a two-way conversation into our morning?

Could it be that while you're at the gym, in the midst of your commute, on your way to school, or while you're getting ready for work—you could begin a conversation?

Creating space in your life to begin the day with God will have a massive impact on the rest of your day.
